Since its debut in 2016 NCT has made known to its followers that the number of members will be in ascent, since the plan for this group is to debut different groups around the world, have collaborations between their units that are now 3 (NCT U, NCT 127 and NCT DREAM), movement of the members to other groups and also new members.
It is expected that in total this group will reach 40 members.
On January 31 the NCT boys welcomed 3 more members: Jungwoo, Kun and Lucas. Through a video that went up SM Entertainment with the name of "NCT 2018 Yearbook # 1", the video contains clips of Taeyong, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Jisung, Ten, Renjun, Yuta, Chenle, Ken, Doyoung, WinWin, Taeil, Jeno , Jaemin, Johnny, Haechan, Lucas and Mark announcing that until now NCT is a group with 18 members (9 Koreans, 5 Chinese, 1 American, 1 Canadian, 1 Japanese and 1 Thai).
On the other hand, it is known that all the members debuted so far have belonged to SMROOKIES and those who do not yet debuted are still there.
