The agency of Kim Sa Rang explained her departure from the drama "Mr. Sunshine" as it is due to problems of time and not due to his health as stated above.
Her agency clarified initial reports indicating her departure from the drama and stated that it was an error in the communication process apologizing for not being able to give the exact news quickly at the time things happened. They also added that although Kim Sa Rang will not be able to be part of "Mr. Sunshine", she will continue to support the drama as a spectator.
The actress Kim Min Jung has been considered to take the character of Kim Sa Rang in the upcoming drama "Mr. Sunshine".
Shortly thereafter on this same day, Kim Min Jung's agency confirmed: "Kim Min Jung is currently optimistically discussing his participation in 'Mr. Sunshine'."
"Mr. Sunshine" is the latest collaboration between writer Kim Eun Sook and director Lee Eung Bok, the team behind successful dramas such as "Descendants of the Sun" and "Goblin."
The drama is scheduled to air in July and will feature well-known stars such as Lee Byung Hun, Kim Tae Ri and Byun Yo Han.
The filming of outdoor special effects for the drama began in November, while filming on the set will begin in late February after the decoration on the set is completed, which is being built on the basis of exhaustive historical research.
