51K officially announced that the idol had joined the agency on July 25. Taecyeon is the only member of 2PM who did not renew his contract with JYP Entertainment, since the other members did it before in January 2018.

A JYP Entertainment source told Maeil Business news that 2PM will continue as a six-member group: "Despite its move to a new agency, Taecyeon will continue to promote with 2PM. JYP Entertainment will be responsible for managing the 2PM group promotions. "
